hace unos pocos días salió esta convocatoria en Atypi que puede ser de
interés para varios de ustedes. Se trata de una beca para el
conocimiento y formación en áreas relacionadas con el libro manual, o
sea aquél que se hace con técnicas tradicionales (impresión con tipos
móviles, caligrafía, encuadernación y elaboración de papel).

Las condiciones de becas son realmente muy buenas, la convocatoria sale
con tiempo (hay hasta el 15 de febrero para mandar trabajos) y como
ellos mismos dicen: les interesa ampliar sus "aproximaciones
multiculturales" , así que ¡anímense a participar!

Wells College Book Arts Center Now Accepting Applications for Victor Hammer Fellowship

The Wells College Book Arts Center is pleased to begin accepting applications for the sixth Victor Hammer Fellowship in the Book Arts. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in hand bookbinding plus one other area of the books arts (letterpress printing, calligraphy, papermaking) , as well as a proven commitment to promoting the book arts through education or community involvement.

The essential duties of this two-year fellowship are to teach one introductory hand bookbinding course per semester, to assist with a variety of Book Arts Center projects, and to produce an independent body of work. Benefits include an apprenticeship at the press and letterfoundry of Michael and Winifred Bixler in Skaneateles, New York, an annual stipend, a supplies budget and a medical insurance package.
